Started with Dave about 8 months ago, he has taken me right back to the basics, to try and build a solid foundation for my shooting, and it's well worth the time and effort. His 1-2-1 coaching sessions no matter what you shooting standard is something that you can learn from each time. David enables you to focus on your shooting development at your own pace/ understanding in order to achieve you goals .
Since that first lesson my shooting has gone from strength to strength. His patience, perseverance and skill as a coach have given me the confidence, skills and the understanding I needed. Dave offers the whole package; from gun fit and guidance purchasing a new gun to the issues with my eye domination.
In the time that I have been coached by David Beardsmore, I have achieved Durham County Junior Skeet champion, Durham County Lady Skeet champion and Durham County Skeet champion overall with a 49x50. I also qualified for the Skeet England Selection shoots this year and narrowly missed out on the Ladies England Team.
David Beardsmore trained me like his apprentice , like he does with all his clients , he’s particular to perfection , like all apprenticeships they take time , you learn from years of experience , you learn by past mistakes , my advice to anyone looking for that one true sport they love go for it , and if its Shooting , there is no one better than Coach David Beardsmore . We continue coaching sessions to keep the skill level high and mix clay and game shooting throughout the year .
David’s attention to detail and creating a system tailored to the shooter is second to none. His lessons are extremely hard work and he demands 100% commitment and effort. He is enthusiastic and offers total encouragement and advice. Under David’s coaching my scores have become far more consistent achieving AA class and again qualifying for the Scottish Skeet Team.
With David’s constant coaching & support over time I have perfected David’s method giving me a solid framework and process that has improved my shooting skills immensely and with it my confidence to now compete in championships such as the Premier league, English open, British open and world English sporting championships to mention a few. I have progressed from B class upward and I am now on the threshold of AA class.
David’s approach to shooting Skeet can only be described as systematic and clinical. Every facet of the shooters routine and technique is broken down, analysed and over a period time if necessary, tiny changes made, until the imperfections in every shot are all but eliminated.
I wasn’t sure he would be the right coach for me as he is a World Champion, and I thought he would only be coaching more professional shots.I couldn’t have been more wrong, he is perfect. His knowledge, patience and instruction on how and why you use different techniques for different presentation of targets makes so much sense.
